We are so excited to announce our partnership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, an organization committed to ensuring that every person who ventures outside can protect and enjoy our world responsibly.

One of the biggest missions of Niantic games has been the goal to bring people outside to explore their surroundings together. Our partnership with Leave No Trace aims to provide education and tips on how to leave the places we visit even better than when we found them. According to research by Leave No Trace, 9 out of 10 people in the outdoors are uninformed about their impacts. Together, we believe that we can change this reality and empower our communities to protect our planet.

Attendees of our live events this summer might notice some new signs around the event spaces. This is our first step towards providing fun, useful tips to players as you explore the world around you. Here are some tips on how to care for the environment as you embark on adventures with your friends, families, and Niantic games.
