July 2024 Bootcamp begins this summer

In October 2024, Niantic will launch a separate, paid, in-person apprenticeship program. Apprentices will immerse themselves in our dynamic work environment and gain invaluable industry experience. Attending the Voyager Bootcamp does not guarantee consideration for or placement in the Apprenticeship Program though Bootcamp graduates are encouraged to apply. Note that to be eligible for the apprenticeship program, successful applicants must be located in the San Francisco Bay area or Seattle area and be willing to attend in-person in our San Francisco or Seattle offices, during the program October 2024-April 2025.

The Voyager Bootcamp Program is part of Niantic’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Niantic’s Voyager Bootcamp Program offers a transformative opportunity for aspiring software engineers. Participants are awarded a scholarship to join a full-time, 12 week coding bootcamp, starting virtually in July 2024. All participants selected for the program will also receive a living stipend during the bootcamp. This is your chance to dive into learning without the financial burden.

12 Week Coding Bootcamp, sponsored by Niantic.

Niantic’s Voyager Bootcamp Program meets Monday-Friday during regular business hours (i.e. 8:30am-4:00pm PST, with a lunch break).  The Voyager Bootcamp will begin in mid-July and end in early October. Voyager Bootcampers can expect 1-2 hours of homework/day on average, with some additional homework during project weeks.

Programming Foundations

Our comprehensive curriculum covers everything from programming fundamentals to web frontend development, testing, debugging, version control, and cloud computing. You’ll gain the skills you need to excel as a professional software engineer.

Do I need to have a CS Degree or previous coding experience?

Do I need to live near a Niantic office?

Do I need a computer for the bootcamp?

If selected for the Voyager Bootcamp Program, we’ll provide you with a laptop to use during the program that you’ll return when the program ends.

Do I have to pay for the bootcamp, and how does the living stipend work?

Accepted applicants receive a full scholarship to our full-time, 12-week coding bootcamp, starting virtually in July 2024. Participants in the bootcamp portion of the program, will also receive a living stipend to help with living expenses during the bootcamp phase, so you can focus your full attention on your studies and growth. The living stipend is $3,000/month for the 3 months of the bootcamp, which is taxable. This is your chance to dive into learning without the financial burden.

What is the bootcamp schedule?
