Niantic and Discord Celebrate Monster Hunter Now’s Half Year Anniversary with New Rewards Niantic’s newest game, Monster Hunter Now, offers one-month free Discord Nitro to its players, while existing Nitro members can benefit from a bundle of rewards

Discord and real-world AR company Niantic are coming together to celebrate Monster Hunter Now’s half-year anniversary and the 20th anniversary of Capcom’s popular hunting action game franchise Monster Hunter with a special promotion.. Starting this week, Niantic is offering one month of free Discord Nitro to its Monster Hunter Now players, redeemable for anyone who hasn’t had Nitro within the last year. Both first-time and existing Discord Nitro members can also claim a bundle of rewards to use on their mobile adventures in Monster Hunter Now, including a monster material from the elusive Deviljho, one of the game’s newest monsters.

Monster Hunter Now is a mobile game that brings players together to hunt incredible monsters in the real world. T Monster Hunter Now x Discord Reward bunddle is available starting today until April 18th, 2024, and includes:

  • One Paintball - Paintballs help “mark” any monster that players may pass by in the wild. Marking a monster lets players hunt it later on if they’re a bit busy when they first encounter it.
  • One Wander Orb - A sphere housing a mysterious power, using a Wander Orb increases the range that players can hunt monsters around them by 50% for 30 minutes.
  • One Deviljho Scale - A monster material from the rare Deviljho, a new monster who only spawns in Volatile territories. Players can get a head start on crafting their Deviljho weapon and gear set.

Current Monster Hunter Now players who are eligible for this anniversary promotion will receive an email to redeem a free month of Discord Nitro, allowing them to try out the subscription benefits, including upgraded emojis, larger file upload limit, higher-quality streaming to share their game adventures with friends, and Server Boosts that unlock even more perks.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Discord, sharing our passion for cultivating gaming communities,” said Archit Bhargava, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Niantic. “Get ready for an exciting Monster Hunter franchise promotion as we introduce Monster Hunter Now to the fan community on Discord via a special reward bundle. Plus, our Hunters can look forward to enhancing their experience with a free trial month of Discord Nitro.”

“Spring is on its way - so what better time for our Nitro members to adventure outside and explore their community with their friends while playing Monster Hunter Now and hunting Deviljho. We’re excited to celebrate Capcom’s Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary by unleashing more fun Nitro benefits to add to this mobile adventure – and to give those new to Nitro the opportunity to try out all its great perks,” said Nico Maurette, Director of Product Marketing at Discord.
