June 17, SAN FRANCISCO:
Xbox and real-world AR company Niantic are coming together to celebrate Monster Hunter Now’s Season 2 with an exclusive reward bundle available exclusively to Game Pass Ultimate members this June. Monster Hunter Now is a real-world hunting experience game from Niantic and Capcom, and Season 2 includes three major content updates spread over the course of the Summer. Part one includes the debut of the fan-favorite Elder Dragon Kushala Daora, along with other monsters such as Khezu, and Basarios appearing in the game for the first time.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Xbox team, sharing our passion for cultivating highly engaged gaming communities,” said Archit Bhargava, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Niantic. “With over 15 million downloads worldwide, Monster Hunter Now has captured the hearts of players, and we can’t wait to bring fun perks, surprises, and exciting adventures from Season 2 to the Xbox community.”

The Monster Hunter Now Game Pass Perk bundle will include the following items: 1x Ultra Hunting Ticket: Ticket which allows for instant participation in a Hunt-a-thon 1x Paintball: Helps “mark” any monster that hunters may pass by in the wild. Hunters can hunt marked monsters later on if they’re a bit busy when they first encounter it 1x Potion: Medicine which stores health by a fixed percentage 1x Wander Orb: Increases hunter’s access range in the field by 50% for 30 minutes 1x Basarios Wing: A material for crafting Basarios weapons and armor

“We’re always looking for ways to enrich our Game Pass Ultimate Perks to bring even more value and fun to our members through unique content and gaming experiences,” said Chris Lee, GM Xbox Marketing. “That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Niantic to offer a one-of-kind bundle that takes Monster Hunter Now to the next level while you explore the newly launched Season 2.”

Game Pass Ultimate members can redeem their New Season Bundle Perk until August 13th by claiming the code through the Game Pass Perks Gallery, and visiting the Monster Hunter Now Web Store to redeem. The next time they launch Monster Hunter Now, their hunting supplies will be waiting in their Item Box.

About Niantic

Niantic’s global-scale augmented reality platform powers spatial computing experiences in the real world. Incubated out of the Maps team at Google, Niantic first created Ingress and then Pokémon GO, a collaborative effort with The Pokémon Company, which has become a cultural phenomenon and hit game played by tens of millions of people each month. Niantic’s Lightship platform, which powers Pokémon GO, also supports the company’s other games including Pikmin Bloom, Peridot and Monster Hunter Now. Developers use Niantic’s platform to build their own AR applications and experiences, either with the Lightship Platform or directly through the web with 8th Wall.
